We are very pleased to bring word that The Nobel Women's Initiative, with PeaceJam Nobel Laureate Jodie Williams, has gotten some media attention during their mission trip to the Thailand-Myanmar border. In addition to Jodie Williams, actress and activist Mia Farrow, is one of the high profile members of the delegation who went to show support to the people of Myanmar who are suffering in the wake of the recent cyclone as well as major political struggles.
Yahoo! reported last week on a press conference that the delegation held in Bangkok where Ms. Farrow continued to discuss her stance on the upcoming Olympics in Beijing China. She is in favor of the US protesting the games in light of China's "hands-off" approach to the travesties occurring in Darfur. You can read more at Yahoo! Movies or visit her website for more information.
